Three Owls on a Branch Update #1

As a recap, the other day I mailed out 7 postcards of three owls sitting on a branch. This sketch later ending up being my first linocut, but that's talked about in a different post! Anyway, I drew the same image on 7 postcards and mailed them out to 7 people from AMP's Facebook page, with two exceptions. The idea is to add or alter the postcard and then mail it to someone else to repeat! Read here for more details.

I'm so excited to see the different things that people do and who will be reached! These postcards were mailed to:

I wanted to have a variety of guys and gals and to spread the postcards out across the USA. So that is 5 gals and 2 guys in 7 seven states (MI, IL, MN, GA, TN, FL, NC). I know that these people have very different art styles and I think that these people will join in and keep the experiment going! There is one person on the list that I don't even know, so he must have had an interesting surprise when he opened the mailbox!

Anyway, today I looked online and found the first submission! I was soooooooo excited! My dear friend from studying abroad in London last year, Sara Pezzoni, uploaded her postcard and boy is it rad!!!

Sara added color, a wing, a sky, and some copy! I'm pretty excited about this; it looks sweet! I love the colors and that shooting star especially, but really I love it all! Thank you Sara for breaking the ice and working on this project so soon! I'm so glad that I'm not the only one excited hahaha! It looks fantastic, lady!
