Sunshine on a Cloudy Day

It's been stormy the past couple of days (my neighbor's house was struck by lightning and caught on fire! No worries, everyone is safe.) and today has been rainy and dreary. But gosh darn it if the sun hasn't been peeking through the overcast sky and a few clouds. Now "My Girl" is playing as I claim my corner at Starbucks. It all seems very fitting.

I'm watching Jesse run a meeting right now, since he has been officially promoted to a Shift Leader. I must say I am trying really hard to not laugh or stare and smile at the table of people. So, I am focusing on this lovely post. That's right, you guys are my distraction. Sorry if you feel cheated right now; I promise to say something interesting...hopefully.

I've been working on setting up another Etsy shop for my other hobbies. I don't really want to say too much right now because I want to gush about it when it is all official and open. I can tell you that I thought of a perfect name for my shop/line of goodies. I would like to call it a "trifecta" of sorts but I'm not betting on any horses. Maybe a "triple threat" would be more appropriate, but I'm not threatening anyone. Well, you can at least be certain that it combines three things that I LOVE. More to come on that, I promise. I'm just itching to tell everyone!

Next on my agenda is my playground project. As I mentioned before, I want to photograph some old (and I suppose new, if it catches my fancy) playground equipment as my next project. It would be perfect lighting right now if it would just pause on the sprinkling/rain for a hot minute so that my camera could go outside. I also HAVE to photograph East Campus before it exists no longer. I remember going in East Hall back in my Freshman year of college (ehm, seven years ago...) and exploring it, taking tons of photos on my junkie point-and-shoot. And for so many years, Jesse and I would go see the sunrise on Easter and other select mornings at East Hall. It will be a shame the day that it is gone, so I must photograph it while I can.
From my phone, the other week.

Tonight is my class at the KIA, so I must get my creative juices flowing! While you are all waiting on me to start powering through my projects, check out my other sites!
